Arthritic pain can be increased by changes in temperature and humidity.  It is no wonder that dry, warm places like Queensland are such retirement havens.  It's not to just enjoy the nice weather in the winter without snow; it is for their arthritis.  Since wool keeps the bed temperature and humidity stable, arthritic pain is reduced during sleep with wool bedding while other fabrics can increase arthritic and joint pains.  Adding magnets to the wool pile backing enhances the relief of pain, improves blood flow and promotes the body's natural healing process.

Magnetic Therapy
Studies have shown that magnets can be an effective therapy for the relief of pain. Additionally it is believed that magnetic fields when applied to an injured area improves blood flow and oxygen exchange to enhance the body's natural healing process.  Magnets can hep reduce the symptoms of Arthritis, back pain, headache, sports injuries and can increase the blood flow to help alleviate the symptoms of other diseases such as diabetes.  Other uses are that it can help reduce inflammation, reduce/dissolve fatty deposits, promote mental acuity, reduce fluid retention, encourage deep restorative sleep, fight infection and increase cellular oxygen.

An effective magnetic field is one that rises above the underlay sufficiently to penetrate and envelop your entire body while sleeping.  Small, thin, weak (low Gauss) or improperly placed magnets produce a weak magnetic field that does not rise high enough to fully penetrate your entire body, depriving you of the full benefits of the magnetic field.  We use iron magnets with no ceramic coating to achieve the full effect.  The positive and negative poles  of the magnets are alternatively positioned thus creating a magnetic field for the greatest benefit.

We use 120 magnets on our King, Queen and Double sized underblankets and 60 on the single size.  Each magnet is 1000 gauss for deep, effective, magnetic penetration.  We do not just rely on magnetic fields to do our healing.  "Sovereign Magna Force" leaves no stone unturned in its construction.  Our underlay is dual layer in that we have Merino wool (24 Micron) pile on the top and 300gr wool quilt on the back.  This creates a thermal pocket for extra warmth and comfort.  The magnet sheet is sewn directly on to the wool pile backing by hand to create a secure finish that will not shift.  We have also included a superb 38cm jersey skirt to fit a deep mattress.  The Sovereign Magna Force will change the way you sleep forever.

Proven History
Magnets have been central to Chinese medicine for over 2,000 years.  In the first century, the Chinese began documenting effects on health and disease.  Greek philosopher, Aristotle, was the first person in recorded history to speak of the therapeutic properties of natural magnets.  The Hebrews, Arabs, Indians, Egyptians, and Chinese used magnets for healing.

After years of being considered a folk remedy, magnetic healing is finally becoming an accepted medical treatment.

In a recent study published in the Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, researchers at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston found 1000 gauss magnets to be more effective than sham magnets at blocking pain caused by post-polio syndrome.  (This syndrome which is marked by leg pain, affects up to 20% of polio sufferers later in life.)

In the controlled study, 76% of patients treated with magnets got pain relief. Only 18% treated with a sham magnet claimed to get relief.
