Our Dreamings is an interactive CD-ROM about Australian Aboriginal art and culture. Enter the ancient and traditional world of the Waripiri people from the central desert of Australia and discover art and culture which connect the cosmic universal energies with mother earth. Just click on the active areas to explore six beautiful paintings and other information topics which are easily accessed from the main menu. View over 70 dot paintings, understand the symbols, watch videos of artists painting, hear the artists stories, explore desert art history and learn Waripiri words

Main Menu - This is where you will find access to all the topics listed below. You can access these also from the pop-up menu at the bottom of the page.
Educational Notes - Click here to access the educational notes and activities as well as a link to the notes online where you will also find links to further interesting areas of Aboriginal studies.
Paintings- There are six paintings to explore. Click on active areas of the paintings to discover the meanings of each icon and see a video explanation. Click the back button to go back.
Artists' Painting - This is where you will find a video of each of the featured artists actually painting. Click the artist/film icon to load the video which will play automatically.
Artists' Stories - This is where you will find a video of each of the featured artists. Click the artist/film icon to load the video which will play automatically.
Art Gallery - Both Malcolm Jagamarra and Janet Nakamarra display many works of art in this section. To enter the artist's gallery, click on their painting. Click the forward button to scroll through the artworks.
Iconography - You will find the meaning of the icons found in the traditional paintings of the Waripiri people. Click the forward button to scroll through each icon.
Dictionary - Each word has both Waripiri and English spelling. Click a word and hear the pronunciation. There is also the botanical name and a picture.
Video - Former Prime Minister Gough Whitlam gives a speech and Malcolm Jagamarra talks to students in Melbourne.
Art History - This is where you will find a short video of the history of central desert art. There are also maps of the area that you can click and move around to see the bigger picture.
