Platypus Pendant
The platypus grows to 50cm and inhabits freshwater streams around eastern Australia. Its body is covered with long outer hair over a thich waterproof undercoat. The platypus diet consists of molluscs, insects, crustaceans and frogs. The female platypus lays up to three eggs which are incubated for ten days between her stomach and curled tail.
