The sugar glider possum grows to 17cm long and has an 18cm tail. It possesses a thin membrane of loose furry skin from its body to between the wrist and ankle allowing it to glide from tree to tree. It inhabits the north and eastern coastal regions areas of Australia and its diet includes fruit, insects, nectars, honeydew and fungi.
