A mayoorr is a natural permanent fish trap used by the Aboriginal Bardi "saltwater" people. Fish traps use the rise and fall of the tides to trap fish and reptiles. The traps are found in tidal creeks and reefs along the Dampier peninsula coastline in NW Australia.
